Angren University Faculty of Medicine
Angren University Faculty of Medicine, located in the industrial city of Angren, Uzbekistan, is a newly established medical school accredited by the Uzbek Ministry of Higher Education. Launched in March 2021, it stands out as one of the few institutions in the region that combines practical training, research, and holistic healthcare education in its six‑year MD (MBBS) program taught in English. Its curriculum draws on international best practices and innovative teaching methods, emphasizing early hands‑on experience through rotations and internships within its own medical facilities.
The program spans six rigorous years, covering disciplines from anatomy and biochemistry in the first year to advanced clinical medicine like surgery and emergency care in later years. With modern infrastructure—simulation labs, digital classrooms, and a teaching hospital—students benefit from state-of-the-art facilities. Angren University also fosters global exposure, exemplified by student internships in partner hospitals in Okinawa, Japan, and collaboration with ASMI Medical Education Centre in India for international student recruitment and support. These initiatives shape graduates capable of meeting modern healthcare challenges both locally and globally.
